This page is under development!
June 13, 2005 in Rome

Since you were kind enough to visit, I will at least put a few samples of my playing here (these files are not new... I have been in sling or a finger splint for nearly two months now, and the newest of these files is probably three years old at this point anyway).

Update!
Septermber 26, 2007 at home

Wow, I said the page was under development, but didn't actually change anything for over two years... guess that goes to show how proactive I can be about things.  Anyway, I've tossed up two cover songs from an outing the group I'm playing with did the other week (no bassist on these, just two guitars and drums).

Another Update!
Septermber 26, 2007 at home

I killed sometime this morning by recording a quick demo of a song I wrote the other week ("Ain't It a Shame) and a cover of "China Girl."  And I put them on here because I really didn't have anything more exciting to do with it.  These are recorded on my laptop through the magic of a $10 computer microphone... not bad quality all things considerd.  File size isn't prohibitive.

Drown
This is a song that developed out of a guitar riff I was playing around with one day.  Please note this was recorded using a direct line from an amp into the sound card on my desktop and is not "touched up."  Along with the help and input of a few friends I have been jamming with, this song is in a process of evolution.

Highest Mountain
This is a little song I made up while experimenting with using open strings to drone a bass/chord accompanient like sound (shortly after reading about how droning strings involved with sitars).  I recorded this with an Alvarez acoustic guitar and a $10 plug-in computer microphone.

Wasted Words
This is only a portion of a song I wrote over five years ago (the recording is probably about that old also).  Again, this is the product of an acoustic and computer microphone.  This song, like the others, has words, but they are not sung or included.

Little Wing
This is a fantastic song from Jimi Hendrix.  I play the guitar in this, except for the later leads.  Please note that I do not sing on this track. (NOTE:  file size around 9mb)

Come Together
I'm sure you are familiar with this song from the Beatles.  Again, I do not sing on this track. (NOTE:  file size around 9mb)

Ain't It a Shame
This is a cheerfuly, bluesy sounding song... well, at least it sounds cheerful.  I guess the lyrics aren't very nice, but isn't that how a lot of blues songs are?  Oh yeah, I'm singing on here (well, what passes for singing from me).

China Girl
David Bowie is most famous for this song, but it was written by Bowie and Iggy Pop for Iggy's The Idiot.  This version really doesn't sound all that much like either, nor is it the greatest thing you're ever going to hear.  But I felt like playing it and singing it, so here it is.
