Day 13 - Internet change and Jaco
Slow day with school, but changes are coming.

DSCF1035 Here's where it all happens, you can see the splash page being completed. DSCF1036 And while I'm setting up the new site, the only station in English goes on full-time Michael Jackson coverage. DSCF1037 Not guilty! Not guilty! So it's okay to sleep with other people's children? DSCF1038 Why am I taking pictures of the television? DSCF1039 Just so you konw, my laptop monitor is larger than our television.

Why am I here:

Just in case you don't know, or would like to hear it again, I am in Rome to study Comparative Criminal Procedures and International Civil Litigation. This is part of an optional study abroad program offered by Temple University, where I have just completed my first of three years of law school.

The program lasts about six weeks. I arrived in Rome on June 1, and I will be returning home July 8 (at least that is the plan, provided there are no delays or missed flights). To answer some basic questions I have been asked more than once: yes, the credits I will receive upon successfully completing these courses will go toward my juris doctor; yes, this trip is rather expensive... thank God for government subsidized loans (and thank all of you for paying your taxes to help make this trip possible); and yes, I think flowers are a great way to compliment a woman and at the same time let her know you care.

Here is to hoping the trip goes well and classes don't get too much in the way of enjoying the entire experience. Ciao!

- Jay.
