Day 17 - Angeli and Batman
We went to see Batman and stopped at Santa Maria degli Angeli on the way.

Word is the new Batman movie opened stateside on Wednesday. Here in Rome, we had to wait until Friday to see the latest installment of a movie franchise that had gone stale. Without any great plans for early evening, we decided to go see the movie (we found a theater near Piazza Republica that was playing the film in the Enlgish).
The newspaper listed the movie as starting at 5:30, so we got there about 30 minutes ahead of time. The listing was wrong and we had an hour to kill before it started. What would you do at home in such a situation? Probably walk around the mall and see if anything is on clearance at the gap, right? Here we settled for walking across the street and touring a church designed by Michaelangelo that was built at a major Roman bath house. Tough life, isn't it?
But I'll talk more about the church and movie in their sections. By now you may be tired of hearing it, but this is a wonderful city to spend time in. I don't know if I'd want to live here, as I am attached to my home area, but I certainly don't mind visiting this place.
