Jay's Photo Album Experiment
First off, just to get this out of the way, the Pope outdrew the rock stars. Anyway, it was Sunday morning, I was awake, and St. Peter's is a 10-minute walk from my residence. Why wouldn't I go see the Pope and hear his blessing again?
This time I took a longer video of the Pope and less pictures. Hopefully you find this interesting, although you probably won't understand much of what he is saying (just like me). As far as I can tell from talking to other people in the program, none of them have gone to see the Pope (other than my roommate). Actually, most of these people seem to have done nothing other than shop or go to bars. Perhaps I'm not looking at this the right way, but I think there are stores and bars at home. I am in Rome, and it seems more interesting to go see all the things I may never have another chance to see.
The concert was free, with one of the main sponsors being Mtv Europe or Italy or something like that. The only way that meant anything to me was I had to listen to the really annoying VJ's between acts. Their voices and demeanors were grating, and I couldn't understand what they were saying.
