How would you like your skull to be a centerpiece, and your ribs to form rays behind it?

Two churches at the Piazza San Silvestro (near the crummy mall).

The good, the bad, and the ugly:

I realized today that I am more than half way through this trip. I have been here 21 days now, and only have 17 left. There seems to be so much left to do, but I realize that there is never enough time to do everything.

Today we decided to take a trip to the Capuchin Crypt after seeing listed as a top 10 thing to do for children in Rome list (one of my guide books is "Top 10 Rome" -- very useful, but everything is organized in short lists). I'm not sure which children this place would be a top 10 site for, other than perhaps any offspring of Dracula. It's more than a bit creepy.

We also decided to go by a mall we spotted near the Pantheon the one day to begin pricing possible souvenirs. Though that trip turned out to be a disappointment, we found time to stop in two churches less than a block from the mall.
