Jay's Photo Album Experiment
This morning I overslept because I had muted my computer last night and forgot to turn the sound back on before going to bed (I use a program that emulates a rather loud alarm clock to wake me up). My afternoon class had an extra special 35 minutes added on to it. This, combined with a general feeling of wanting to do something outside of school, led to my roommate and I declaring July 23 to be the "Official Skip Classes at TU Rome Day."
Instead we went to the Vatican Museums, walked around the Forum/Colosseum area, did some food shopping, and finalized our hotel reservations for our weekend excursions to Venice-Florence-Pisa. Now before you think ill of us for disregarding our sacred duty of attending classes, consider that we went to the school to use the internet connection there and while there I saw my teacher for these missed classes. I told the one I wouldn't be in the afternoon class because of the Vatican trip and was told to have a good time. The other teacher just said hi and made some small talk, never mentioning my absence in the morning.
Even the teachers know the score. They're here to be in Rome, just like we are.
