It's not that hard to find... if you know what you're looking for.

We thought it was a museum, but the entire thing is a monument.

Dull morning, busy afternoon:

This morning we had to report to the school, where we heard two lectures. The first was a general history on the unification of Italy and history since then (it gave me flashbacks to 10th grade world cultures), and the second dealt with the evolution of Roman law to civil law (civil is the predominent law in Europe, where as the US is a common law system... I will not numb your mind with an explanation of the differences). The second lecture was actually rather interesting from a historical perspective, but considering we were entering our third hour of being talked to, a lot of people were looking antsy. After returning from the school, I took about an hour to rest during the hottest part of the day before my roommate and I embarked on looking for the elusive Trevi Fountain.

We got off the metro at the Barberini and quickly became distracted by what looked like an interesting obelisk in the distance (it seems Western Europe did a fair job of looting those things from Egypt). That led us to the Spanish Steps, and we continued the trend of noticing something interesting in the distance and walking to it. A process that went on for about three hours. It's amazing what you can see in three hours of wandering around Rome.

We eventually did get to the fountain, our last stop before returning to the residence to make dinner. And the Fountain was rather spectacular. Things here are either just that amazing, or I'm getting easier to impress as I get older.
