Day 5 - Todi and Eating
The school organized trip to Todi and meal.
Over the hill:
June 6, 2005 in Umbria
Umbria is the region to the east of Lazio, where Rome is located. We left for Todi at 8 a.m. and got there in about two hours. The countryside was very beautiful, but the bus seats gave me a flashback to sitting in economy on Lufthansa. Once in Todi we were given two and a half hours to explore the town before meeting up again to drive about 30 minutes to some sort of restaurant/vacation spot.
It was an interesting trip to places I probably would not have gone to on my own. I would have liked to be in Rome this Sunday to head down to St. Peter's square for the weekly appearance and blessing by the Pope, but maybe next week.
